I've always loved to make art! and share it!
I received my BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia
After graduating in 1994 I was drawn to the unmatched beauty of the PNW and made it my home

Happy 2025! Hope the new year brings health and happiness... and time to MAKE ART!!!!!!!

I am the mother to 23 year old twins. My son Trevor has severe autism, intellectual disability, OCD among other diagnoses. As Trevor got older there were less and less services available to him due to his complex needs. Because of this we spend a lot of time exploring the city. The waterfront, the Sculpture Garden, the wonderful parks but most of all Seattle Center (especially Mopop - In fact, a few years ago Mopop featured us in their Annual Review).
At the very end of 2023 my son was accepted into Fircrest RHC to work on his severe behavioral challenges and life skills in the hopes that he can one day live in a less restrictive supportive living home environment.
A PASSION TO SHARE
Beyond her personal practice, Leslie Nan Moon is dedicated to community engagement and education. As an instructor at Pratt she shares her passion for printmaking with others.
Notably, she led the Seattle Monorail Column Art Project where her linocut artworks are displayed on 19 gateway columns of the city's beloved monorail. This project also included collaborative workshops with youth from Pratt and young adults from YouthCare whose creations were featured on select columns.
Moon's artistic journey is deeply intertwined with her personal experiences and environment, making her work both a reflection of her life and a contribution to the broader community.
Seattle Monorail Services in conjunction with the City of Seattle and the City of Seattle's Office of Economic Development will feature the linocut art of Leslie Nan Moon on 19 of the columns from the city's beloved monorail.
Three of the 19 columns are collages of student artworks that were created at workshops Leslie offered earlier this year to youth students from Pratt as well as young adult clients from YouthCare/Orion Center.
